I believe that chemistry and transparency is important in a successful relationship, and as we might be having embarking on one together - you deserve to know what to expect.

Whether you’ve been planning your wedding day forever or for a few weeks, your wedding photographs will last you your life time. Make sure you choose a photographer who you are most comfortable with because they’ll be hanging out with you your whole wedding day.

Below you can find more in-depth answers to some frequently asked questions for wedding photographers.

ABOUT MY WORK

  • I am passionate about recording the moments as is so I take a very documentary/lifestyle approach to photography… which basically means I enjoy real, candid, and unscripted shooting. Even though we will be posing for our formals and portraits, we’ll have a more relaxed set of photos. I like to joke with my clients that because I am small, I can blend in the crowds to photograph their friends’ most embarrassing moments!

  • Let me tell you this, I love ‘love’ and I celebrate every small thing in life. I am a very family person with a few close friends; and although I am inherently a social person, I enjoys the comforts of being a hermit with my husband over the weekends.

My career is not just my work; it’s the happiness I get when I shoot every frame through my camera. I get emotional when a mother adorns her daughter in jewels, a son tying his father’s tie before stepping out, the couple’s first dance, and their siblings celebrating them like there is no tomorrow.

Growing up in the UAE meant a lot of exposure and an understanding for all the cultures who live here. Guarding respect for traditions, customs and privacy is a must! I love seeing couples celebrate their union in their own ways and sharing it with their most important ones. It’s just the little things in life that is to be celebrated, and being a small part of your big day is an honor that cannot possibly be put in words.

With all that being said, I do hope our paths cross in the near future!

  • If the occasion calls for it. For weddings and other events, I shoot with my little sister Sabira and we make the perfect team! She’s been assisting and eventually shooting with me since the start of my journey and I cannot imagine a perfect wedding day without her.

  • Let’s chat! I'm happy to schedule a quick, no-pressure call to discuss your wedding vision and photography needs. We can also tap into other topics that play an important role in the wedding, such as customs and traditions, family dynamics, lighting and the aesthetic setup, and the overall timeline of the event.

You can book a consultation here.

BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY

  • To ensure every couple receives the utmost attention, I carefully limit my bookings to 30 weddings annually. To secure your preferred date, I recommend booking as early as possible. I accept bookings up to a year in advance.

Since it is on a first-come-first-serve basis, your date isn’t reserved until you officially book me as your photographer. A signed contract and a non-refundable retainer of 30% of your chosen investment are due to reserve your date.

  • The selection of packages ranges from 4 to 10 hours depending on how much coverage your wedding needs. Although the 8-hour package is the most popular, customized packages and/or additional hours can be extended at an extra cost.

  • Get in touch with me by email to receive my Wedding Price and Information Guide. You can also read about the experience and the process we'll be going through if we work together.

  • Out of respect and love for all my clients who invest at full price, my rates are not flexible. However, my packages are customizable, so we can work together to create the perfect coverage for your big day without breaking the bank.

  • I love cosy events and enjoy the little moments that could otherwise be lost. I offer hourly rates for more intimate events and can cater to your needs. Please get in touch so we can talk about options!

Your intimate wedding still deserves to be captured in a way that reflects your love story. Although I recommend investing in the 'Keeping It Simple' Package of 4 hours, I am happy to offer hourly rates that can best cater to your needs. Please get in touch so we can talk about options!

  • No matter the day of the week or month of the year, all weddings are the same amount of work and are therefore all charged at the same price.

  • Totally! As we get closer to your date, a lot more things will become clearer and easier to visualize. During the entire wedding process, I am available for a chat and help with looking over your wedding day timeline and discussing a similar photo agenda. It’s always a good idea to be over-prepared with details so we make sure we photograph everything and miss nothing.

  • Besides speaking English and my mother tongue Bengali. I am also fluent in French, Urdu, and Hindi.

  • For the ease of convenience and record keeping, bank transfers work the best. I also accept cash and online payment.

FOR THE WEDDING DAY

  • Trying to sort out a wedding day timeline can be rough, you want everything in place to catch the perfect sunlight and to make sure your guests have eaten so they can dance all night long. I get it. I’m certainly here if you need help in the ‘Planning The Day’ department. I can walk you through how I plan the photo timeline and we will break down the day for details, getting ready, family, couples, group shots, etc. We will collaborate and cover all of this throughout your wedding planning.

  • This truly depends on the wedding that you are having. Larger weddings need a longer coverage while smaller, more intimate weddings can get away with fewer hours. Also, Western and European weddings start around 2:00 pm and can lead up to 10:00 pm on the dance floor, while Arab Levant wedding and Indian weddings could start their dance floors at 11:00 pm. Our coverage aims to make sure we document everything you’ve invested your time, emotions, and finance in, so if you need help planning a timeline, just reach out.

  • Posing in front of a stranger can get uncomfortable, I get it! I can assure you that there’s nothing to worry about because we’re going to simply document the day as it is! It’s my job to ease you into it until you feel like you’re a natural.

I also encourage couples to opt for an engagement session ahead of their day. This is a fun little time for us to unwind and get used to the camera. If we don’t get to do this earlier, no fret! We’re going to ease into the day where every single moment is just you both in your element enjoying the most awaited day together.

  • A 100% YES! As I thoroughly enjoy sharing this experience with my clients, I maintain a hands-on approach as the lead photographer and creative director at their weddings. In rare instances where scheduling conflicts arise, I have a highly skilled team ready to assist. Rest assured, you’ll receive the same exceptional service regardless.

  • Depending on the investment package you choose, you will have a second shooter to cover your wedding. This only means more angles, more photos, and more unmissed moments!

AFTER THE WEDDING DAY

  • Once your photos are ready, you will receive a link to an online password-protected gallery with all of your finished photos. You can batch-download all of your images as high-resolution digital files and web-sized images. In addition, the gallery will allow you to mark images private should you choose to share the gallery link online with friends and families.

You can also opt for the convenience of skipping the queue and receiving your entire gallery within 1 week by paying for the Rush Hour Fee.

  • Besides receiving a few highlight images the next week (minus public holidays), you will typically receive over 350-800 photos depending on the number of hours booked and the amount of activity happening on the day.

  • I am a strong believer that all your wedding photos belong to you. I don’t limit myself to a certain number of photos, instead, I provide you with a well-curated collection of photos from the thousands taken on the day to best narrate your story efficiently.

  • Yes, I will likely share some of your images online. If this is an issue for you please let me know ahead of time.

MORE THAN JUST WEDDINGS

  • I’m happy to travel to wherever your wedding is taking place! Shoot me an email and let’s get talking! I’ll be happy to give you a quote!

  • Absolutely and this is one of the most popular outside-of-wedding photos clients opt for. An engagement photoshoot is a chance to disconnect away from the world and reconnect with each other. It provides a beautiful opportunity to capture true-to-your-lives images a while ahead of the big day. Plus, if you’re a little camera-shy, it’s the perfect opportunity to get familiar with the camera before the big day.

  • Absolutely! It's a great idea to relive and recreate Bride & Groom wedding photos for couples who've had shorter time sessions on the actual day or had opted for a more intimate event that didn't leave them with much time to take photos on their own. It's an investment in yourselves for the present and the future!

  • It's the best way of feeling photos and having a tangible keepsake that allows you to relive your day again and again. My wedding albums are handcrafted with premium materials and are designed and printed at an all-women printing facility.

  • I am happy to say, yes! I trust my cinematography work with my sister vendors whom I trust wholeheartedly and whose work matches my own.

  • Although my main focus is on weddings, I do offer event coverage for smaller gatherings, lifestyle shoots, and family photos. If you’re looking for any of these, feel free to drop me an email and we'll make it happen.

  • Here’s a secret, though I do own and use lights - it’s my least favorite thing to do. Besides being on-your-face, lights can be distracting and make the guests very conscious of a photographer being present at all times. Additionally, as a documentary and lifestyle photographer, I prefer to use ambient lights to tell your stories.

However, I do use flash photography and set up lights if I absolutely must!
Since a lot of photography depends on the quality of light, I also like to advise my couples to light their venue to maximize their investments in setting the scene and mood for their wedding
